Resilience: Biology of Stress & Science of Hope

resilience 241 x 134

Adverse Childhood Experiences and toxic stress have a direct impact on an individual’s health and well-being. They can be linked to destructive behavior and medical diseases. However, research shows resilience helps reduce these effects. Building Direction for Families (BDF) and the Independence Public Library are co-sponsoring a viewing of this powerful 60-minute documentary on the big screen in the Community Room at the beginning at 6:30 pm on March 20.

Free and open to the public; no registration is required. For more information, please contact BDF at 319-334-5105 or email
