Riverwalk Parks

The Independence Riverwalk Parks is a community participation project funded and constructed locally and is a wonderful asset to the Independence community. Riverwalk Parks connect Brimmer Park, Teacher's Park, and Bathing Beach Park. This park system consists of over 18 acres of FEMA buyout land. This beautiful park area includes: a concrete trail along the scenic Wapsipinicon River, river access, boat dock, memorial benches, beautiful river scenery, nostalgic lighting, open air picnic shelters, community band shell, a playground, open green spaces, sand volleyball courts, horseshoe courts, basketball court/ pickleball court, Little Free Library, and an 18 hole disc golf course. It is also the host site to several city wide celebrations and events.

Riverwalk Parks 18 Hole Disc Golf Re-Design & Expansion

The local Disc Golf Group has raised $3,000, we are selling hole sponsors to help cover the cost of signs and concrete tee pads. IPRD is providing all the labor and any additional cost over what is raised by the Disc Golf Group and Hole Sponsors. We still have 5-6 opportunities for sponsorship. There will be 2 levels of sponsorships... Hole Sponsor- $250 Logo and Name on tee box or Listed Sponsor- $100 Name or Business Name listed on sign at the beginning of the course. All sponsorships and payment are accepted at the Falcon Civic Center.
