Fall Craft & Vendor Show​

Our Annual Fall Craft & Vendor Show will be held on Saturday, October 15th, 2022 from 9am- 3pm at the Falcon Civic Center.
Admission is FREE & Everyone is welcome to attend! The fee for a booth is $35 which includes one 8ft x 8ft space, one 8ft table, and two folding chairs. One additional table costs $7.50 if needed. Please Note: No one is put in the show until payment with the signed agreement has been received. Temporary Sales Tax Permits are not available, crafters/ vendors must have a permanent sales tax number through the Iowa Department of Revenue.
Reminder to Falcon Civic Center Patrons: We will set-up for the Fall Craft Show on the Friday prior to the Show. Only the weight room, cardio room, and sauna will be open to public use on that Friday and Saturday. If interested in a booth space, please contact Angie @ 319-334-6711 or email Angie
Pumpkin Decorating Contest

Be creative, pumpkins can be carved, colored, painted, whatever!! Direct message on Facebook @ Independence Parks & Recreation Department a picture of you (name and age) with your pumpkin by October 31st and winners will be announced on November 2nd. Pumpkins will be judged in 3 categories: Most Creative, Silliest Face, Scariest Face. Age groups: 5 & under, 6-11 years old, 12 years and up. Winners will receive "sweet treats" from an area business still to be named. Call 319-334-6711 with questions.

HALLOWEEN BOO BASH

The Independence Public Library brewing up fun for families from 5-7pm at the Falcon Civic Center. All ages can enjoy games, stories, crafts, snacks, and a photo booth to celebrate Halloween. Wear your costume and stop in at the Falcon Civic Center for what is sure to be a SPOOKtacular good time... all ghouls, ghosts & goblins are welcome!! Typically held the Friday prior to Halloween.
