Minors Leagues

Girls 2nd & 3rd Grade Minors League

This league is open to all girls currently in 2nd or 3rd grade (current year). Volunteer Coaches will work on proper positioning, fielding techniques, hitting, throwing, and catching with the girls. The girls participating in this league will be hitting 12" JUGS Softee machine pitch softballs off of the pitching machine at approximately 35 mph and at a distance of 40 ft from home plate. One umpire will be scheduled to call the game and feed the machine. Practice times and locations will be arranged by the volunteer coaches with practices typically beginning 2 weeks prior to the 1st game and continuing through the season. All games are played on the ball fields at the Independence Baseball/ Softball Complex. The cost is $50 per girl and that fee will include a team shirt and visor for your child to keep. Register at the Falcon Civic Center by the registration deadline and payment is due at the time of registration.

Season: Games will run May 23- June 29 played on Mondays and Wednesdays after 5pm at the Independence Baseball/ Softball Complex.

Boys 2nd & 3rd Grade Minors League


This league is open to all boys currently in 2nd or 3rd grade (current year). The boys participating in this league will be hitting 9" JUGS Pearl machine pitch baseballs off the pitching machine set at approximately 35 mph and at a distance of 40 ft from home plate. One umpire will be scheduled to call the game and feed the machine. Volunteer Coaches will continue to work on proper technique within the game of baseball. Practice times and locations will be arranged by the volunteer coaches with practices typically beginning 2 weeks prior to the 1st game and continuing through the season. All games are played on the ball fields at the Independence Baseball/ Softball Complex. The cost is $50 per boy and that fee will include a team shirt and team hat for your child to keep. Register at the Falcon Civic Center by the registration deadline and payment is due at the time of registration.

Season: Games will run May 24- June 30 played on Tuesdays and Thursdays after 5pm at the Independence Baseball/ Softball Complex.
